Spread a Word Campaign – حملة ما تخسرنيش

Spread a Word is a campaign I launched on 22 May 2011, aimed at raising awareness against extremism, violence, and corruption, in response to a period of intense social upheaval in Egypt: the 2011 revolution had opened up fierce tensions between political factions, sects, and ideological currents. Working interactively with the campaign’s audience, I developed a series of slogans and graphic designs that each assert a simple refusal: of violence in all its forms, and of the denial of otherness.

The campaign received funding from ADEF (Arab Digital Expression Foundation) and an AFAC Express Grant. All materials are published under a Creative Commons licence.
