This piece questions the notion of the “democratic transition” in the light of the events that took place in Egypt Between January, 2011 until June, 2012 . Since the beginning of the revolution on January 25th 2011, the Egyptian people went through three different democratic experiences where they went to vote and to claim their right in choosing the future of their beloved country.

Are we really choosing the path we are taking as a nation? Are we victims of the advertisement used by certain political and religious currents? Do we live in the illusion of free choice while a major power manipulates the events and makes decisions regardless of our will?
